Warm Spiced Apples

I know I have spent too much time on Pinterest today when I start craving the tastes and smells of Autumn.

Cinnamon desserts and spicy candles spring to mind

This is a simple spiced apple recipe

Warm Spiced Apples

3 small apples peeled and cored

(I just used the apples I had in, just average apples no idea what kind they are that’s why I devised this as I did not want to throw them away)

1/2 tablespoon butter

2 tablespoons of brown sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

Adjust the quantities of ingredients to your taste

(I think adding a teaspoon of nutmeg would also be nice)

Chop up the apples into small chunks

Melt the butter in a pan on a low heat

Add the apples

Pour in the sugar and cinnamon

Stir well

Cook on a low heat until the apples and nice and soft

(You could probably do this recipe in the microwave too if your short of time)

Great served with ice cream, porridge, muesli, pancakes, yoghurt

Can be kept in the fridge overnight a quick blast in the microwave in the morning and this makes a great winter warmer to add to porridge
