Days out-Stonehaven

It was a gorgeous day here today blue skies and sunshine, a crisp Autumn day that is perfect for a long walk. So off we went to Stonehaven a small town just a short drive down the coast.

The beach side of town is a lovely bracing walk before you get to the sheltered harbour.

The Ship Inn built in 1771 is one of the oldest inns in the area.

We had a lovely lunch here today. Great to see people still sitting outside in October enjoying the lovely weather.

The large brown building to the right of the picture is The Tolbooth

The Tolbooth Museum now occupies the ground floor of the building which was the prison.

The upper floor of the building which was the courthouse is now a restaurant.
