Out and About – Sunday Walks

Sometimes living in the same place for so long you can take it for granted and not appreciate what is right on your doorstep….

It was a lovely sunny day today, freezing cold but perfect for a nice long walk!

Wow, That archway is so beautiful. You’re right we never notice the things around us. Maybe I’ll start looking now and go for a picnic or something! :)

I know its just lovely around there :-) Always look up, its my top tip when traveling or visiting a new place you miss the most amazing things on corners of building etc by not looking up enough ;-)

Very beautiful pictures. This is true that we never notice what is right in front of us. I had a friend come from out-of-town and she commented how nice the foliage is here in Virginia, I hardly noticed and I drive past it every day. Sometimes you do indeed have to stop and smell the roses.

These pictures are beautiful! I would love to visit a castle someday. Is it open to the public? Are there tours? It makes me wonder what kind of dramas filled those hallways and courtyard. What a life it must have been back in those days.

Thanks so glad you enjoyed the photos :-) Well we have lots of castles in Scotland so you would be spoilt for choice if you come and visit. The place in the photos is actually not a castle but a church, it is part of the University of Aberdeen, it is called Kings College Chapel. I am sure there would have been lots of drama’s filling these historic courtyards it really is beautiful. They have services during term time and the Chapel is available for weddings to graduates of the University, graduates of Robert Gordons University, members of staff and their families. You can also visit Mon-Fri :-)

Well even for a church it’s a beautiful building. It’s cool that they offer weddings and still use it to do services. I’m not really a church person, but if I were in Scotland I wouldn’t mind attending one to admire the interior of the building. :) I’m in the US, and I wish we had buildings have as cool as the ones you have in Europe.

    This is so true.

Sometimes you pass things on a daily basis and you do not take notice of them until a stranger comes along. The stranger may lament so much at the beauty or the rareness of the building or the scene that you pass so often, that is the only time that you really take notice and look at the things around.

I am a nature lover and i always take notice of the mountains ans rivers and just at some of the way that the surrounding just tie into itself in an immaculate way. I take walks when i can but sometimes i do not really have the time and time just flashes by, i like this kind of activity though.

My Country is very beautiful and tourism is one of the largest product for the country so you can just imagine the beauty that they are all after here. It is strange though to know that the locals do not go to most of the resorts or places branded as being tourist attractions for their beauty.
